Common questions

Is this affiliated with NYC?

No. Check Tow is an independent monitoring service that uses publicly available NYC Open Data. It is not affiliated with NYC or any government agency.

What happens after I subscribe?

Your 7-day free trial starts immediately. After the trial, you'll be billed automatically unless you cancel. After payment is confirmed, we activate monitoring for your plate(s).

What is the annual plan?

The first 100 subscribers can lock a discounted annual rate for 12 months. Monthly prices remain unchanged — the annual discount is the launch offer only.

What's the difference between Remembered and Monitored?

Remembering a plate saves it for quick manual rechecks — no alerts, no automatic monitoring. Monitoring (paid plan) runs recurring checks and sends alerts when public data changes.
